Radiance Technologies is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Wright to Senior Vice President of the Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Group (EDTG) in Radiance’s Defense Sector. His primary focus is on high energy lasers and related technologies, including modeling and simulation, manufacturing industrial base, component and subsystem design and prototyping, system integration, and laser lethality programs. Wright will be responsible for all execution, personnel, and business growth for this high priority technology area for the Department of Defense and Radiance.
Wright joined Radiance in 2008 as a software engineer performing software design, development, and maintenance for multiple DoD programs. He then supported the transition of the High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck (HELMTT) from Albuquerque to Huntsville where he led the integration of a 50-kW class laser and associated subsystems. He was awarded Radiance Technologies’ Manager of the Year Award in 2016. Most recently, Wright has served as the Vice President and Group Manager for the Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Group.
Prior to coming to Radiance, Chris worked as a software engineer for SPARTA, Inc. He received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering in 1996 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and a MS in Engineering Management from Auburn University in 2022.
