Darren Wheeler joins 5SRC as the Director for Business Development and brings 35 years of military, academic and management experience to his role.

After retirement from the Marine Corps, Wheeler remained in Northern Virginia and progressed from providing direct customer support to corporate management roles with ever-increasing responsibility. In 2011, he was recruited by George Mason University to establish and deliver the foundational coursework for their “National Defense Track” Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program, which focused on managing and growing business in the Defense market. In 2013, Wheeler joined the Huntsville business community with a promotion to General Manager for a large support services business. Following this role, he successfully served as the Program Manager for a >$100M Missile Defense Agency support services effort. He was also intimately involved in the successful capture and transition of the >$200M follow-on contract.

Wheeler holds an MBA (Executive format) from George Mason University. He and his wife, Michelle, live in Huntsville and have two adult daughters.
