WORKFORCE & EDUCATION
The Workforce & Education Department of the Chamber supports member and community efforts to ensure our region has sufficient quantity and quality of talent to meet employer needs and support sustained growth. This includes immediate needs of employers and job seekers and partnerships with our education community.
RECRUITING
The high-tech economy and specialized skills required in Huntsville/Madison County make recruiting a top priority of the Chamber. A dedicated website is provided at asmartplace.com. aSmartPlace gives chamber members a centralized place to list their job openings, making it easy for job seekers to find career opportunities in North Alabama.
JOB POSTINGS
Anyone can sign up to receive free email alerts from aSmartPlace.com directly to their inbox. Job seekers can rest assured the job opportunities they receive are from a trusted source. Additionally, aSmartPlace offers information on life in our community, including arts & culture, dining, unique area events, recreation, places to explore and activities for children.
WAGE SURVEY
The Chamber conducts an annual Wage Survey for its membership each spring. The survey helps local organizations gauge their compensation against other companies in our region. In even years, the survey also includes benefit data for the same benchmarking comparisons. The survey data is valuable to companies to use as a pricing tool for bidding contracts, and, most importantly, as a human resources guide for benchmarking wage and benefit rates.
