WLRH 89.3 FM/HD public radio would like to congratulate Elaine Oakes for being awarded the Michael Soper Memorial Scholarship to attend The Public Media Development and Marketing Conference (PMDMC). Elaine is our Corporate Underwriting and Support Manager and the Michael Soper Memorial Scholarship is for development staff working at public media stations who have been in our industry between one and five years.

PMDMC is public media’s largest conference devoted to issues surrounding revenue generation, marketing, and management. The PMDMC is the one time each year when public media leaders and revenue-generating professionals from organizations of all sizes join together to dream big, stay energized, and build a more sustainable future for public media. This is the first in-person PMDMC since 2019, and will be Elaine’s third (first in-person) after joining our team in late 2020. The conference is scheduled for July 18-21, 2022 in Chicago.
