Evan Crouse joined Warren Averett Asset Management in 2019 as a Financial Planning Associate. His educational background in finance, combined with his prior leadership experiences as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Air Force and his work at a major defense contractor, have greatly contributed to his longstanding interest and passion for personal finances and investments. Since he joined Warren Averett, he has thrived in his career as a financial planner.
Despite the ever-changing market and the pandemic, Evan has had a great year and a lot to be proud of! In February of 2021 he earned his Certified Financial Planner Certification. For more than 30 years, the Certified Financial Planner™ certification has been the standard of excellence for financial planners. CFP® professionals have met extensive training and experience requirements, and they commit to the CFP Board’s ethical standards that require them to put the clients’ best interests first. “It is extremely rewarding to be certified as a CFP® professional,” said Crouse. “Helping people meet their financial goals and needs is very important to me, and with this certification, I feel better equipped to assist clients with their goals.” Later that same month, he received a promotion and title change to Financial Planner/Client Consultant. With his certification and promotion Evan is now able to provide customized, comprehensive financial planning to his clients.
Crouse is also very involved in his local community of Huntsville. He is a member of the Philanthropic Advisors Network of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, heavily involved with his local church and serves on the praise and worship team, and still finds time to coach his daughter’s soccer team. He has also enjoyed helping Huntsville families as they work towards achieving their goals. He believes being a good financial planner is about so much more than just the money and investments. The positive impacts financial education and preparedness have on families has the potential to span generations making someone’s wealth a blessing, not only to themselves, but to their family and community.
Some fun facts about him include that last year he completed his first 24-hour Adventure Race and had a blast (and survived!). The race was a 24-hour event that combined trail running, mountain biking and canoeing. Crouse is very adventurous, so if you get a chance to meet him be sure to ask about his first thoughts after he jumped out of an airplane, his time serving around the world in the U.S. Air Force and how he protected his wife from two very aggressive geese! His stories will not disappoint.
