THE ELM FOUNDATION and UNITED WAY OF MADISON COUNTY Announce Partnership to Strengthen the nonprofit sector through Leadership Social Services in its 20th Year

HUNTSVILLE, AL (November 30, 2021) The ELM Foundation and United Way held a press event today at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce. It announced a new level of collaboration aimed at impacting Madison County’s quality of life.

Today’s announcement and celebration between these two foundational Madison County nonprofits comes at a time when the need for leadership, efficiency, and cooperation in this sector has never been greater.

Missy Hanks, facilitator for the Leadership Social Services program, and new executive director of the ELM Foundation states: “The challenges faced by our community, and the courage and heart our nonprofit sector has provided during recent months, demands that we take Leadership Social Services to a new level. United Way and the ELM Foundation understand we can do that better together.”

Cathy Miller, Community Impact Director at United Way adds: “One of the best investments our community can make is to assure that the quality of this program continues to grow. We need professional development in the corporate and for-profit business sector to feed innovation and improvement; that is also true for our nonprofit businesses.”
