The Women’s Economic Development Council (WEDC) proudly announces the appointment of Bekah Schmidt as the Vice President for 2023. Since joining WEDC in 2016, Bekah has held a variety of leadership roles throughout the organization including chairing the Leadership Training Committee. In her work world, Bekah handles Corporate Communications for Toyota Alabama and is responsible for the engine plant’s media relations, social innovation, and local government affairs. Bekah holds her degree in Political Science from University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is also a past graduate of Leadership Huntsville’s Connect Class (18) and is proud to call Huntsville home.
