Local school systems are celebrating students who have reached the semifinals of the National Merit Scholarship Program. These young men and women are among 16,000 students nationwide who have the opportunity to continue in the competition for roughly 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million offered in the spring.

Jim Entrekin and Othni Lathram of the Alabama Legislative Services Agency joined us for a discussion on Alabama’s redistricting process. Our state will soon undergo this process based on the 2020 Census results.
