Mazda Toyota Manufacturing To Produce Newly Unveiled CX-50

Today, Mazda revealed the all-new CX-50, which will be made at Mazda Toyota Manufacturing in Huntsville. Production will begin in January 2022. MTM will hire up to 1,400 additional team members to join its existing workforce, eventually reaching up to 4,000 once production is in full operation.

Local school systems are celebrating students who have reached the semifinals of the National Merit Scholarship Program. These young men and women are among 16,000 students nationwide who have the opportunity to continue in the competition for roughly 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million offered in the spring.

Young Alum Donates $2.2 Million to Alabama A&M

Alabama A&M University officials announced on Aug. 18 that an anonymous, young alum has donated $2.2M to their beloved alma mater.  The actual gift amount totals $2,187,518.75, which is twice reflective of the institution’s founding year of 1875.
