Village of Promise (VoP) is pleased to announce the addition of Danielle Hart as Director of Development and Marketing. Hart is responsible for all aspects of fundraising through grant and event funding and the donor and corporate relations programs – while also sharing VoP’s mission with the community through marketing and communications channels.
“I am grateful, honored and humbled to join the Village team,” Hart said. “Village of Promise is doing great work in our community, and its multi-generational approach will benefit families both now and for years to come. I believe, alongside VoP, that we are all neighbors and in this together.”
Hart comes to VoP as a results-driven development and communications manager with a demonstrated track record of excellence within the nonprofit, art and technology arenas – 11 years corporate and seven years independent. Hart has a passion for the community as she most recently served as the development and media relations manager with Arts Huntsville.
“Village of Promise is thrilled to have Danielle join the team,” said VoP CEO Dana Gillis. “She has both a heart for our community and direct experience working within our community. I look forward her playing an integral role in supporting VoP’s mission to empower families to advance out of poverty.”
Before her most recent work, Hart was an independent communications specialist in marketing and public relations. She has also worked as a journalist and has co-authored two children’s books. Since 2017, Hart has served as a community volunteer for several local organizations – she previously and is currently serving on the American Advertising Federation – North Alabama Board of Directors as club achievement chair and is also a member of her church’s media team. Two of Hart’s proudest accomplishments to date are her children, Kylie and Kolton.
