Dr. Craig Whittinghill, Auburn University – McCrary Institute

Dr. Craig Whittinghill is the Deputy Director for Applied Research and Services for Auburn University’s McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security. He is a Navy Veteran, retiring after 29 years of honorable service as a Naval Intelligence Officer. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is also a graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California, where he earned a Master of Science degree in Space Systems Operations and a Master of Science degree in Astronautical Engineering. He also earned a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering (Engineering Management concentration) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Prior experience includes serving as Director of Intelligence of the United States Fleet Cyber Command / TENTH FLEET located at Fort Meade, Maryland, Commanding Officer of the United States Cyber Command Joint Intelligence Operations Center located at Fort Meade, Maryland, Information Warfare Commander for Carrier Strike Group THREE in Bremerton, Washington, and Director of Information Warfare of the United States Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia.
