
Dr. Harry Hobbs has been appointed to the Alabama Workforce Development Board by Gov. Kay Ivey. He also serves as a member of the Alabama Commission on Higher Education.
Hobbs is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and is retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service. He has served in north Alabama as a high school teacher, Dean of the Florida Tech Huntsville site, and spokesman for the Huntsville Police Department as well as Huntsville Utilities. Since 2018, Hobbs has served as the Vice President of Employee Engagement for Huntsville Utilities. He has earned two doctoral level degrees, a PhD and a DBA.
