Destination Huntsville, Huntsville’s only Destination Management Company, is proud to announce the addition of Leslie Walker, a 30-year veteran of the tourism and meetings industry. Ms. Walker has held such roles as hotel sales & catering, corporate meeting planner, hotel general manager, Convention Sales Manager for the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, tourism industry consultant, and the creator of and program manager for Tourism ALL-a-Bama sensory tourism initiative. She is a speaker and presenter at tourism and social media-related conferences across the U.S. and internationally. Ms. Walker is the Immediate Past-Board Chair of the Historic Huntsville Foundation. She has worked as a guest writer, sharing her love of her home in the “Rocket City” for We Are Huntsville, a local events blog, and contributing tourism-related articles to national publications. She is thrilled to join the team at Destination Huntsville as a Creative Events Nerd, helping to further their vision of innovating the way people experience a destination.
