Laughlin Service Funeral Home is proud to announce that John Michael Chappell has been promoted to Advanced Planning Manager. John Michael is a Huntsville native and became the fourth generation to be a part of the Laughlin Service family when he earned his insurance license and joined the staff in 2023. He is a graduate of Huntsville High School and Birmingham-Southern College.
John Michael is proud to serve families by helping them to navigate the pre-arrangement process so as to take that future burden off of their loved ones.
He and his wife, Catherine, have three beautiful children, Lucy (5), Liam (3) and Sophie (9 months).
Laughlin Service was founded in 1868 and is the oldest business in Madison County. The Purdy family has owned and operated Laughlin since 1948. Laughlin Service is a proud recipient of the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award and the Torch Award for Ethics given by the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama.
