Michael Portera has joined Sequoia as the Vice President of Cyber Solutions and leader of the company’s Huntsville office. In this role, Michael contributes heavily to Sequoia’s cybersecurity initiatives and serves as a key advocate for the company’s cutting-edge cloud solutions across the national security sector.
Michael brings a wealth of experience to Sequoia, having spent eight years in Big Four consulting (KPMG and Deloitte), where he delivered IT and cybersecurity services to both public and private sector clients. After relocating from Atlanta to Huntsville in 2013, he joined Millennium Corporation as a Red Team Operator. In 2020, he founded a cybersecurity firm that was later acquired in 2023.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (2009) and a Master’s in Management Information Systems (2010), both from Auburn University. Michael is a recognized thought leader in cybersecurity, frequently speaking at national conferences and contributing to open source projects.
