Each quarter, the Chamber partners with the University of Alabama Center for Business & Economic Research to support the Alabama Business Confidence Index. This survey of local and statewide business leaders provides a forward-looking picture of where the economy is headed.

For the upcoming 3rd Quarter 2023, Huntsville leaders have a moderately positive outlook, showing the highest confidence of all other Alabama metros. This is the second consecutive quarter that the metro’s Index has been positive, indicating sustained expectations for improving economic conditions.

In particular, Huntsville business leaders are confident in new growth for industry sales compared to last quarter. Increased profits, hiring and the forecast for capital expenditures are all mildly positive. For a detailed look at the current survey results, please click HERE.
