Southern Development Council, Inc. would like to recognize its newest Business Development Officer, Sarah Chambliss. Sarah has been with the company since March of 2022 and has worn many hats including Credit Analyst, Loan Packager, and Marketing Manager. She officially added another hat to the list in May of this year, and she is transitioning out of the underwriting and packaging roles to give the BDO role her full attention. She will continue to handle marketing efforts as that is an integral part of being a BDO for the company.

Sarah is originally from Tallassee, AL where she attended high school and graduated in 2016. She is a graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) class of 2020 (BS) and 2022 (MBA). Sarah and her husband, Samuel, tied the knot in October of 2022, and he also works in the Finance industry. Sarah has experience in the SBA realm as well as experience in the banking world. Having this experience from both sides of Southern Development Council’s loan product has helped her to relate and better guide her banking partners in the SBA 504 Loan Process.
