Calhoun Community College proudly celebrates Chief Tyler Roden’s recent achievement in the Certified Law Enforcement Executive Program. Through dedication and hard work, Chief Roden completed an impressive 240 hours of advanced training with the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police (AACOP) and the University Partnership for Alabama Continuing Education (UPACE). This significant milestone was recognized at the AACOP Conference in Orange Beach, AL, where he was awarded his 240-hour certification.
This four-level certification program, developed by the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police and supported by the Alabama Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission (APOSTC), prescribes a standard of excellence in the law enforcement profession, which is one that Chief Roden has undoubtedly achieved. This distinction places him among an elite group of Alabama law enforcement leaders committed to professional excellence.
Admission into this prestigious program requires rigorous training in areas such as leadership skills, human relations, internal policies, environmental issues, and communications. Chief Roden’s accomplishment speaks to his dedication and capability, setting a standard of integrity and excellence for our college.
