On February 17, 2021, The U.S Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce and the Space Channel, hosted The Path to Artemis III: Future of Human Deep Space Exploration Webinar.
This event took a meticulous look at the role of Marshall Space Flight Center and greater Huntsville’s industrial capabilities in developing the necessary technology and hardware for sustained U.S. lunar operations. The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Mike Ward spoke with several people of note, including Congresswoman Terri Sewell, Congressman Steven Palazzo, Jody Singer, Director of Marshall Space Flight Center, Destin Sandlin, host of Smarter Every Day on YouTube, as well as NASA Astronaut Mike Fincke, who spoke with STEM students in Ms. Caroline Reed’s class at New Century Technology High School in Huntsville, Alabama. These students are embarking upon careers in the space workforce of the future.
