CFD Research is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrew Kaminsky to Director. Dr. Kaminsky leads the company’s Surrogate Modeling Team and will continue to lead the strategic growth of promising CFD Research surrogate modeling, modeling, simulation, and design optimization technologies through engagement with industry and government partners. Dr. Kaminsky joined CFD Research in May 2017 after completing his doctorate course work at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Dr. Kaminsky has 13 years of experience within the aerospace and defense industry in surrogate modeling, reduced-order modeling, and optimization.
“I’m thrilled to step into the role of director, where I can lead my talented team developing and transitioning cutting-edge surrogate modeling and optimization tools,” said Dr. Kaminsky. “The opportunity to shape innovative solutions at CFD Research and push the boundaries of what we can achieve together is incredibly exciting!”
Dr. Kaminsky earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering with an Interdisciplinary Graduate Minor in Computational Sciences from the University of Tennessee Knoxville as a Chancellor’s Fellow, as well as a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering.
