Elizabeth Espera, HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology

HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology named Elizabeth Espera, MBA, MHR, as its new Director of Human Resources on June 4, 2025. Espera brings over a decade of experience in strategic HR leadership, talent development, and organizational effectiveness to the Institute.

In her new role, Espera will lead HudsonAlpha’s human resources operations, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce development. Her expertise in aligning people strategies with business goals will support the Institute’s continued growth and innovation.

Prior to joining HudsonAlpha, Espera held HR leadership roles at Woodward and Polaris Industries, where she led global performance management, large-scale hiring initiatives, and leadership development programs. She also brings experience from the higher education and startup sectors, where she contributed to HR systems implementation and policy development.

Espera holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Human Resources from Utah State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Brigham Young University–Hawaii. For more information about HudsonAlpha, visit hudsonalpha.org.
