Maynard Nexsen recently welcomed Austin Hagood to the Huntsville office with the litigation practice group. Austin believes the law often involves the things that are most important to us, and his goal is to not only advise his clients on legal issues but to truly act as a counselor, ensuring that each of his clients’ concerns are listened to and addressed.
Austin’s prior legal experience includes litigation relating to divorce, child custody, protection from abuse, custody modification, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical liability, and product liability. He assisted clients with healthcare regulatory compliance matters, which included navigating referral issues, HIPAA compliance, and physician contract negotiation. Austin has extensive courtroom experience throughout north Alabama, helping his clients obtain the results they desire at emergency hearings and trials.
Austin graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a B.S. in Psychology. He earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, served on the managing board of the Law and Psychology Law Review, and was the captain of the Healthcare Transactional Moot Court Team for two years.
