On February 20, 2023, we were pleased to launch Innovate Huntsville Week with the Entrepreneurs & Innovators Panel, held at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. This event was in partnership with Innovate Huntsville and is an initiative of the Chamber’s Economic Inclusion and Diversity work.

The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber hosted its 87th Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday at the Von Braun Center South Hall. During the event, in his last official act as Chair, the 2022 Board Chair Greg Brown presented the Distinguished Service Award to Rey and Cynthia Almodóvar.

Four of our five most recent Chamber board chairs are Alabama natives, primarily from north Alabama. For this first issue of 2023, we invited them to share their perspectives on the changing face of the Rocket City.

We are very proud to announce that our own Erin Koshut, Executive Director of Cummings Research Park, is the 2023 President of the Association of University Research Parks (AURP) Board of Directors. Congratulations Erin!

We would like to welcome a new member to the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber team! Lakeysha Brown joined our staff on December 12, 2022 as our new Director of Member Engagement. If she looks familiar, Lakeysha has served as our Lead Ambassador for the last three years in our Chamber Ambassador Program.
