Drake State and Huntsville Hospital Celebrate Inaugural LPN Launch Program Graduates

Drake State Community and Technical College and Huntsville Hospital proudly announce the graduation of the first cohort of graduates from their groundbreaking Nursing LPN Launch program. The 19 students will now begin work at Huntsville Hospital, helping to fill a critical nursing shortage.

Huntsville, Ala. lands UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in September 2026

We are pleased to share with you that Huntsville, Alabama has landed the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in 2026. The races will be held September 4-7, 2026, Labor Day weekend, in Cummings Research Park. This premier event will bring approximately 600 of the world’s para-cyclists, along with their support staff and families, to Huntsville.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – More than 70 percent of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Alabama’s power will soon be generated by the sun. On April 5, Huntsville Utilities, Toyota Alabama and Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. (TAI) announced a power purchase agreement (PPA) to support a 168-acre, $49 million solar project.
