The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) announced on March 24 the addition of Christopher Blanding to its team as the new Admissions Officer. With his extensive experience as an Athletic Administrator and Skills Development leader for middle school through collegiate levels, ASCTE said Christopher is uniquely qualified to help us expand the school’s reach and attract the brightest minds in Alabama.
In addition to his role as Admissions Officer, Christopher will also serve as the Boys’ Head Basketball Coach. He is a strong believer in the power of character development to enhance education and transform our community’s culture. With a track record of success, Christopher has won 272 games in his 16 years as a head coach, leading his teams to three Middle School City Championships, two 5A Area Championships, two 6A Area Championships, and four Sweet 16 appearances.
“I am thrilled to join the Sentinel family and take on the challenge of leading the basketball program,” said Christopher Blanding. “My goal is to help student-athletes achieve their full potential on and off the court, and I am excited to get started.”
ASCTE says it is proud to welcome Christopher Blanding to the team and looks forward to the
positive impact he will have on students, the community, and the institution.
