Cindy Wood is our newest Membership Account Executive at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. She joined our team in February.
Born in Port Chester, New York, Wood’s family moved to Miami, Florida, in 1974, where she was raised in the warmth of the sun and the energy of the city. At 18, Cindy joined the U.S. Army, proudly serving as a Military Police officer until 1994. After her military service, she transitioned to the construction industry as a brick mason, working on the expansion of Bryant-Denny Stadium at the University of Alabama — a role that may have been unconventional for a woman at the time, but one she embraced with determination, a lot of elbow grease, and skill.
In 1999, Cindy discovered a new passion for staffing and human resources while living in Montgomery, Alabama. This sparked the beginning of a rewarding career in employment and HR that would continue to grow. She made the move to Huntsville in 2008 to further pursue this path, and has been proud to call this city home ever since.
“I strongly believe in the dignity of work and the importance of supporting our community’s businesses,” said Cindy. “It is an honor to now serve as a Membership Account Executive with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, where I’m committed to supporting our local economy and fostering meaningful connections. I’m here to serve you and sincerely look forward to connecting with you soon.”
