River Bank & Trust in Decatur has welcomed veteran banker Don Chittam as Senior Vice President & Relationship Manager, North Alabama Region President Ashton Dement announced on April 12. With over 35 years of experience in banking and finance, Chittam will use his extensive knowledge to help commercial and consumer clients achieve their financial goals.
“We are delighted to have Don join our team,” said Dement. “His expertise in banking and ability to establish trusted relationships with clients will be invaluable to our growth in Decatur and throughout the region.”
Born in Athens, Alabama, Chittam has been a resident of Hartselle since 1981. He is a graduate of the Alabama Banking School and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He is a past member of Kiwanis, past president of Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County, and a charter member of the Decatur-Morgan Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Committee. The grandfather of five is also an active member of the Beltline Church of Christ.
