APT Research, Inc. (APT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Daniels as its Training Program Manager. APT is a 100% employee-owned small business providing specialty engineering and programmatic services in a variety of safety and mission assurance (S&MA) disciplines.
Since joining APT in 2004, Heather has advanced from Graphics/Publication co-op to Graphics/Publication Lead. In 2021, she took on the additional role of Training Coordinator for the Safety Engineering & Analysis Center (SEAC) division.
Each year, approximately 200 S&MA professionals from both government and industry obtain continuing education credits through APT’s training program. Courses include System Safety Engineering, Explosives Safety, Reliability Engineering, and more. All courses are offered in a classroom format, which can be attended in-person or remotely. Heather has made numerous improvements to the training program, including the implementation of a Learning Management System on the Teachable platform, which allows learners to attend training in an online, self-paced format. APT’s Risk Management for Safety Engineers training course is available now, and Software System Safety Engineering will be launching this fall. Heather’s efforts continue to drive improvements and innovation within the training program, contributing to APT’s commitment to excellence.
