James Flowers has joined the executive team at The Port of Huntsville as Chief Design and Construction Officer. He oversees the planning, design, and construction of all major construction projects undertaken by the Port of Huntsville. Flowers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science from Auburn University and subsequently worked as a project manager and estimator in commercial general contracting in Auburn and Scottsboro for two decades. He came on staff at The Port of Huntsville as a project manager in the Engineering & Facilities Department in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Manager of Design and Construction prior to his current appointment.
