Avion Solutions is pleased to welcome Joe Herman as a Senior Program Manager. Joe oversees Avion’s team of analysts, logisticians, engineers, and subject matter experts providing support to the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Offices for Aviation, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors, and Missiles & Space.

Prior to joining Avion Solutions, Joe served in the U.S. Army for over 29 years, retiring in 2023 as a Colonel. He was a senior leader in the Army’s Acquisition Corps, performing duties as the Chief of Staff for the Missile Defense Agency’s Directorate for Test, Program Manager (PM) for the International Apache Program, PM for Apache Development and Modernization, as well as numerous other Army Acquisition positions supporting the Army’s Aviation portfolio. Before his Acquisition career, Joe was an Army Aviator, holding Platoon and Company Command positions and Battalion and Brigade level staff positions.

Joe is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps, DAWIA certified Level III in Program Management, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Missouri Western State University.
