Mike Underwood is Division Vice President and Business Unit Manager for AMETEK Abaco Systems. He has overall responsibility for the execution and demonstrated growth of the end-to-end business unit, including P&L accountability, as well as developing and implementing the annual budget and strategic plan.

Mike joined Abaco in June of 2022 and he has 38 years of experience in the defense and aerospace industry. He has had several roles during his career, including President of Divisions and leadership of business units and lines of business and leadership of program management and business development functions.

Earlier in his career he worked as an engineer, program manager, and a manager of major subcontracts for Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and the US DoD. Mike holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and minor degree in Engineering Psychology from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
