Mark your calendar – the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber is excited to announce the return of the P.R.O.P.E.L. Entrepreneur Summit on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Stovehouse. Building on the success of last year, P.R.O.P.E.L. will transition to a streamlined one-day format designed to deliver learning, networking, inspiration, and opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from across north Alabama.
A highlight of the event will be “The Pitch,” a single pitch competition where innovative technology-focused startups will compete for a total of $60,000 in cash awards. The top three companies will receive awards of $30,000, $20,000, and $10,000, providing meaningful resources to help accelerate growth and commercialization.
This year’s summit will focus on late-stage startups developing technologies that address current industry, government, or market needs. Participating companies should be preparing for a Series A capital raise and have demonstrated traction beyond the concept stage. Eligible companies should have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) – a product with enough functionality to be used by customers and validate market demand while continuing to evolve through customer feedback. Companies should also have established initial revenue streams, identified customers, and a clear path toward scalable growth.
In addition to the pitch competition, attendees can expect a day of engaging panel discussions featuring entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners. Topics will include startup growth, access to capital, commercialization strategies, customer validation, and the resources needed to build successful, sustainable companies.
The Chamber is also pleased to announce that Allyson Eman, CEO of the Venture Atlanta Conference, will be speaking at P.R.O.P.E.L. this year. Eman will share insights on building an engaged ecosystem that supports the development and growth of a thriving entrepreneurial community, drawing on her experience leading one of the nation’s premier startup and venture capital conferences.
The summit will conclude with an evening awards reception, where pitch competition winners will be announced and attendees can continue building connections within Alabama’s growing innovation ecosystem.
The P.R.O.P.E.L. web page is now live and will be updated regularly as speakers, programming, and event details are confirmed. Applications for the pitch competition are now open through Sept. 11, 2026. Tickets to attend the summit will be on sale on September 28.
