The Huntsville Sports Commission is pleased to announce the hiring of Rebekah Hamilton as the 2025 spring intern, where she will contribute to various projects aimed at growing sports and events in the Huntsville area.
As a native of Huntsville, Hamilton comes to the Commission with a remarkable background in competitive swimming, having achieved eight individual state championships and four team state titles in Alabama with Westminster Christian Academy.
Hamilton recently graduated from Auburn University summa cum laude, where she continued her swimming career as a member of the Auburn University swim team. At Auburn, Hamilton earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll four times, competed at the NCAA Championships and was named to the Dean’s List.
“I am excited to bring my passion for sports and my experience as an athlete to the Huntsville Sports Commission,” said Hamilton. “They always created such a great environment at the sporting events I competed at in high school, and I look forward to giving back to the community in a similar way.”
