WAAY 31 News is pleased to announce Rob Sneed as their new Weekend Evening Anchor and Managing Editor.

Prior to WAAY, Rob reported for WGN-TV in Chicago, Illinois. He spent two years covering breaking news and stories for both local and national media outlets. There, Rob covered many national stories including protests and civil unrest following the officer-involved shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

In 2017, Rob reported in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, for WCMH. For more than three years, he reported on stories that created change in his community. There, he was the recipient of the 2017 Ohio Associated Press award for Best Investigative Reporting for his coverage of the way parolees’ GPS devices are monitored.
