The new way to Shop Local!
The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber is grateful to everyone who participated in the 2022 edition of SHOP LOCAL-OPOLY! This campaign was held between November 1 and December 1 to encourage people to support local businesses during the holiday shopping season. Shoppers also had the opportunity to be put in a drawing to win up to $650 worth of gift cards from participating local businesses!
We drew our three winners on December 1. Congratulations to the following:

- Tim Harper (Second Place – Wins $400 in gift cards)
- Angela Jeansonne (Third Place – Wins $250 in gift cards)
The campaign is designed after the popular board game Monopoly™ with participants shopping at different spaces on our customized game board. The game board consists of 26 local businesses in Huntsville/Madison County that are shaping our community’s unique character and personality. Each player was asked to collect at least 5 receipts from any of the 26 companies on the board to enter our drawing of prizes, and turn these in to the Chamber.
When you shop local, you’re making a personal investment in our community. In fact, for every $100 spent, roughly $68 to $73 of it returns to local activity. We look forward to bringing this campaign back next year!
