Davis joins the firm’s Labor & Employment Group, where he will continue to focus his practice on business-based immigration. Leveraging his vast expertise, Davis is committed to assisting companies and their employees in obtaining nonimmigrant work visas and permanent residency status, providing expert guidance throughout the immigration journey.
Before joining Butler Snow, Davis worked for a national law firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, where he played a key role in their immigration practice, representing clients across industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, higher education, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. Stephen represented businesses that hired and sponsored professional and specialized knowledge workers, foreign nationals with exceptional ability, and intra-company transferee employees. He brings extensive experience advising corporate clients on immigration compliance, conducting internal audits, and representing companies in investigations initiated by the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
