
Todd Smitherman has been promoted to senior project manager at construction firm Robins & Morton. In his new leadership role within Robins & Morton, Smitherman will lead customer service, business development, and project management oversight for several clients served by the company’s Huntsville office.
During his tenure with Robins & Morton, Smitherman has directly contributed to the success of more than 50 projects totaling over $500 million. Recent examples include multiple projects with Duke Health, Huntsville Hospital Health System, and Clearview Cancer Institute, as well as projects at Redstone Gateway and the in-progress $150 million vertical expansion at Huntsville Hospital’s main campus in downtown Huntsville. Since 2024, he’s helped procure more than $20 million worth of work in the area.
In addition to his work at Robins & Morton, Smitherman proudly sits on the board of the Russell Hill Cancer Foundation and supports various local nonprofits such as the Land Trust of North Alabama and ENABLE Madison County. He also remains involved in professional organizations such as Associated Builders and Contractors of North Alabama and the International Facility Management Association. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville’s Connect class C-26 and has served as an Ambassador for the City of Madison Chamber of Commerce. In 2024 he was recognized as one of the Huntsville Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.
Smitherman holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama, a Master of Business Administration degree from Samford University, and a Master of Building Science degree from Auburn University.
