Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle gave his annual State of the City Address on November 8 at the Von Braun Center North Hall after Huntsville was named the largest city in Alabama. More than 1,100 people attended to hear his remarks, which reflected the successes our community accomplished over the last year. Mayor Battle said the pandemic didn’t slow down our growth, instead, it fueled our fire to become a stronger community.
“As I’ve said many, many times, we don’t want to be the biggest, we want to be the best,” the Mayor said, adding that mindset has helped Huntsville develop into what it is today.
