Robert Wickord, Drake State Community & Technical College

Drake State Community & Technical College is proud to announce the appointment of Robert Wickord as Executive Director of Fiscal Affairs and Administrative Services. In this role, he provides strategic oversight of the College’s financial operations, administrative services, and process improvement initiatives that support institutional growth and efficiency.

Wickord is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in senior management and leadership roles, bringing a proven record of success in accounting, finance, and organizational operations. Throughout his career, he has led the development and management of complex budgets, implemented streamlined processes to enhance performance, and provided trusted financial counsel to executive leadership teams. His expertise spans strategic planning, process design, and compliance and risk management.

Prior to joining Drake State, Wickord served as Integrator, Executive Director, Controller, and HR Director at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, where he oversaw all operational functions, including accounting, finance, communications, and human resources. He also held leadership positions with First Tech Federal Credit Union, Lutheran Church Extension Fund, and Associates Group, managing finance, IT, and HR departments as well as large investment portfolios.

Wickord holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and several professional certifications, including Certified Church Administrator and Certified Commercial Lending.
