Chip Cherry, CCE, has been elected to lead the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for 2021-22. ACCE is the professional society supporting the women and men who lead local, regional, statewide and international chambers of commerce and related business and economic development organizations. Cherry is president and CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber.
A number of Chamber members in the Huntsville area made the Inc. 5000 List released last week. KODA Technologies came in the highest for our Metro area, at No. 65, with 5,725% three-year growth.

Alabama A&M University officials announced on Aug. 18 that an anonymous, young alum has donated $2.2M to their beloved alma mater. The actual gift amount totals $2,187,518.75, which is twice reflective of the institution’s founding year of 1875.

Senator Tommy Tuberville serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) and was instrumental in making sure that the legislation included a number of items that were on the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Federal Agenda. The Senate Armed Services Committee passed its fiscal year 2022 defense policy bill Thursday after closed door markup sessions. The bill passed the committee on a 23-3 vote.
