The Race


The 2025 U.S. Paralympics Cycling Time Trial will be held in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday, March 29. This one-day event serves as the selection race for the upcoming World Cups in Europe, and many of the U.S. athletes who medaled at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris are expected to compete here! The race is presented by U.S. Paralympics Cycling, Medalist Sports, the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, Cummings Research Park, the City of Huntsville, the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and many other partners. Racing is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Paracycling Parking options map

The race is in Cummings Research Park. This map shows the main race ring, Explorer Boulevard, which will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on race day. The start/finish area is on Explorer in front of Columbia High School.

Parking Options:
1) Auburn University Research Center - come in from Old Madison Pike to Voyager Way.

2) Intrepid - use Enterprise Way to turn on Discovery Drive, then park at Intrepid.

3) Leidos - use Enterprise Way to come in.

4) Columbia High School - use Slaughter Road to Farrow Road, and come in the back way to the school.

You're welcome to locate anywhere along Explorer Blvd. to watch the races, which are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
PARA-time-trials

Practice Rides & Road Closures

You'll see cyclists on the course mid-week through Saturday, March 29, and we urge you to use caution. CRP companies, we will email you updates and ask that you please share this information with your teams so they are aware and know to drive with caution. The official training ride is on Friday, March 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. on Explorer and the road will be open for traffic.

Explorer Blvd. will officially close from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 for the races.

The southbound side of Explorer from Farrow Road to Moquin Road will be closed from Friday at 6 a.m. to Saturday at 5 p.m. (March 28-29) for construction and breakdown of the finish line.

Athlete Information

Many of these elite athletes have competed in past Para-cycling races in Huntsville, and some went on to medal in Paris in the 2024 Paralympic Games. We'll also have some new faces this time. Here's the list of who will be competing.

We are very thankful for our volunteers! We couldn't do this without you. If you've signed up for a spot, please check your emails for updates on what time to arrive, where to park and where your volunteer spot is located along the race course. We sent an initial email on March 18, and detailed emails should go out March 24.

Huntsville, Alabama is thrilled to announce, in partnership with Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and U.S. Paralympics Cycling, that the Rocket City has been awarded the prestigious 2026 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships! This premier event will bring approximately 600 of the world’s top athletes, along with their support staff and families, to Huntsville over Labor Day weekend, September 4-7, 2026.
