Many businesses and employees are scaling back on hours and available positions to help stop the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing and reduced persons. Lots of service industry workers like servers and bartenders are having a hard time getting enough (or any) hours due to the social distancing and curbside-only availability.

There are, however, opportunities for employees to apply to retailers such as WalMart, Kroger, and Publix as they are still in need of retail clerks and employees to keep the shelves stocked and clean for shoppers. Local delivery for companies like Instacart and DoorDash give people a way to work flexible schedules and bring groceries or meals to residents who may be at high risk or can’t leave to go to the store.
