- If on-premises consumption of food or drink is offered, the following is required:
- No more than eight (8) persons may sit at a table
- At least six feet of separation must be maintained between people seated at different tables, booths, chairs, or stools
- Games played at restaurants, bars, breweries, or similar establishments (such as pool and darts) may be played if:
- players maintain six feet of distance from other players,
- game equipment is not shared by players during game play, and
- equipment is sanitized between uses
- Each employee shall wear a mask or other facial covering that covers his or her nostrils and mouth at all times while in regular interaction with patrons or guests
- Self-service by guests is NOT allowed at drink stations, buffets, or salad bars
- Take-out or delivery may be offered so long as a consistent six-foot distance between persons is observed
- Online ordering and curbside pick-up are strongly encouraged
- Hospital food service areas are excluded from the Safer at Home Order provided they have implemented their own social distancing plan
- If an employee tests positive for COVID-19, he or she must follow the quarantine required timeframes. Either the symptom-based or time-based strategy will be used depending on whether the employee is symptomatic or not. The test-based strategy is not recommended by CDC or by ADPH.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the issuance of an emergency closure order or suspension or revocation of the establishment’s food service establishment permit.
