Lori Dendy has been promoted to the position of Executive Assistant for the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). Dendy, who formerly served as Administrative Assistant, oversees numerous accounting, recordkeeping, human resources and reporting responsibilities for the organization, in addition to her role assisting CVB President & CEO, Judy Ryals.
Dendy, who is a Huntsville native, starting working at the CVB as a Visitor Information Assistant, on a part-time basis in the Huntsville/Madison County Visitor Center®. She interacted with area visitors, provided information on area attractions, events and activities to help make their crucial first-impression of our community a positive one.
Her previous work experience also includes marketing, public relations and volunteer roles for a number of organizations including the Volunteer Center of Huntsville/Madison County, Huntsville City Schools, the Community Free Clinic, Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre, EarlyWorks Society, and Valley United Methodist Church Lay Leadership and Children’s Ministry.
Dendy is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Marketing major.
