Kevin Vandeberg, A.A.E., has joined The Port of Huntsville as the Chief Operating Officer. Vandeberg is responsible for overseeing the Operations, Public Safety, and Facilities departments in addition to the management of the International Intermodal Center.

Vandeberg began his aviation career as an intern at Huntsville International Airport, eventually joining the staff in 1991 after graduating with a Bachelor of Aviation Management from Auburn University. He has over 30 years of experience in airport management and planning including six years as an airport consultant. Vandeberg earned a Master of Science in global logistics and supply chain management from Athens State University in 2020. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), past co-chair of the AAAE Commercial Space Working Group, member of the FlyQuest board of directors, and was recently selected as a board member for the Auburn University Aviation Management Advisory Board. He previously served as past president and board member for the Aviation Council of Alabama and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville L-27.
