Laura Carr is the new Event Specialist for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. In this role she will help ensure our many events run smoothly and successfully!

Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wallace State Community College with a degree in Business Education. Laura has spent the last year and half working alongside her husband starting an ecommerce business from the ground up. She helped create the website for Patriot Station and was both the treasurer and office manager of the company. Prior to that, Laura was the Assistant Office Manager for a State Farm agent for one year, and during that time she earned her Property and Casualty insurance license. Prior to Start Farm, Laura spent eight years in banking with Peoples Bank of Alabama, starting out as a teller and moving up to Online Banking and Customer Support.

Since starting at the Chamber in August, she has helped the Event Director with multiple events ranging from a large luncheon for Congressman Dale Strong to smaller events like our Breakfast & Biz.

Laura loves to cook and read books, as well as spend time with friends and family going to arts & craft shows, local festivals and concerts and even crafting classes. She enjoys going on road trips for racing with her husband and taking her son to some of his favorite places and events.
