Sentar, Inc. is proud to recognize Shannon Lasseter, Executive Director of Civil Space and recent addition to the Huntsville team. A proud native of Huntsville, Shannon brings a wealth of experience to the team with nearly 30 years of growth and execution experience in Federal Government contracting firms, providing telecommunications, programmatic, and engineering support services to NASA, GSA, DoD, and other Civilian Agencies. In her role as Executive Director of Civil Space, Shannon will be responsible for the daily oversight, leadership, and growth of Sentar’s Civil Space initiatives.
Shannon began her professional career at a firm headquartered out of Virginia before joining Huntsville-based Computer Systems Technology, Inc. (CST), which later was acquired by SAIC in 2003. In 2014, she joined the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) Agencywide program as Deputy Program Manager. In 2022, Shannon briefly joined Waterfront Technical Services (acquired by Sentar in 2023) to assist a new business startup before being recruited by Teledyne Brown Engineering.
In addition to her professional achievements, Shannon has been actively involved in community outreach with organizations such as Crisis Services of North Alabama, New Futures, and a variety of others. She is dedicated to mentorship and coaching, where she has fostered an intern program with local colleges and universities, and empowering young women in personal and professional settings.
