Nola | Van Peursem Architects is excited to announce Katelyn Wasser has been named Principal Architect. Katelyn began working in architecture in 2011, inspired by her mother, a residential designer, who taught her that imagination can become reality with a good set of plans and even better collaboration. Her commitment to strong team building has empowered her to grow NVP’s client and coworker relationships.
Outside of work, Katelyn loves to travel. Her first technical drawing to become a real building was in Zimbabwe, Africa. She has served on the Leadership Council and Missions Committee at First Baptist Church of Huntsville. Her ongoing commitment to the architectural community led her to be treasurer of AIA North Alabama for several years.
Katelyn is a graduate of the School of Architecture at Mississippi State University. After graduating, she worked for Fred Underwood, a well-respected architect in Decatur. She also worked in Montgomery and South Carolina before returning home to north Alabama. In addition to extensive medical clinic and commercial work, she also has several educational projects under design. Katelyn is excited to further develop the services NVP Architects has offered since 1948.
