From the very first meeting, it was clear that Jordan Cruse would be a determined and dependable staff member. She arrived for her interview on a cold, sleety day in January 2024, and just two days later, she welcomed beautiful twin girls into the world, all while managing a two-year-old at home. After five weeks of maternity leave, Jordan stepped into her role as Operations Director for the Eighth Street Community

During her time with the organization, Jordan has effectively organized and updated the social media sites and webpage. She has collaborated with co-workers to revamp the resident application and scheduling processes as well. Since Jordan joined the team, the resident jobs programs and event offerings have seen significant growth. She has played a crucial role in planning two major community fundraisers and organizing two large resident events, in addition to coordinating the calendar of activities for residents, all while supervising two other staff roles.

One of her most notable achievements has been in the volunteer program, where she has successfully increased participation. The program now boasts over 400 volunteers, including 60 individual volunteers and five large groups added since Jordan took over. Her contributions have made a lasting impact on the community, showcasing her exceptional dedication and organizational skills.
