Daniel Colon is the Business Development Specialist of Alabama at Family Savings Credit Union, where he plays a vital role in connecting the credit union with the community and expanding its corporate partnerships. He coordinates and attends a variety of credit union-related and community events, building relationships and promoting the credit union’s services. His responsibilities include evaluating corporate relationships, developing strategies to meet sales goals, and nurturing both new and existing partnerships.
Daniel is also involved in developing and executing on-site presentations and client workshops to promote credit union membership and financial education. He maintains detailed documentation of all business development activities and continuously researches emerging trends and opportunities to keep the credit union ahead of the curve. Additionally, he collaborates with branches to execute internal marketing campaigns and is often involved in special projects as needed.
Beyond his professional role, Daniel is actively engaged in his community, serving as President of the United Givers Fund of Jackson County, Jackson County co-chair of the Launch regional collaborative initiative, Treasurer of the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Co-chair of the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce Emissaries, and Treasurer of the Jackson County Children’s Advocacy Center. He also coaches youth baseball, flag football, and soccer, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Scottsboro Swim Association. His leadership, community service, and professional achievements make him an ideal candidate for the Movers & Shakers recognition.
